The Swiss subsidiary of the Espírito Santo group, Banque Privée Espírito Santo en liq. ("Espírito Santo") was declared bankrupt as per 19 September 2014. By now, Bratschi Wiederkehr & Buob represents a number of clients who lost considerable amounts of money with investments in group companies of Espírito Santo. Espírito Santo also granted loans to many of these clients and the liquidators claim now repayment of these loans.
