Carl Hirschmann has settled the litigation with Tamedia. Carl Hirschmann welcomes that the long-running confict could be terminated.
The Apologies have the followoing wording:
«The Tages-Anzeiger, 20 Minutes and other publications of the Tamedia group have published a number of articles about Carl Hirschmann from November 2009 to January 2012. The Federal Court decided that this reporting has infringed Carl Hirschmann's personality rights. In particular, partially speculative allegations, unproven in court, have been made in a way that disregarded the presumption of innocence. The court criticized not only various articles but, generally, the exceptional intensity of the reporting against Carl Hirschmann. Furthermore, the Zurich Commercial Court decided that Carl Hirschmann has suffered severe immaterial harm, and it granted a compensation payment to him. Tamedia AG apologizes to Carl Hirschmann for the aforementioned infringements. Now, the long-running litigation has been settled.»The plaintiff Carl Hirschmann was represented by >
