Powell Julian

Vita

Julian Powell is the Deputy Information and Data Protection Commissioner of the Canton of Solothurn. In this capacity, he assists and supervises public authorities with the goal of safeguarding citizens' privacy rights and improving governmental transparency. 

On a part-time basis Mr. Powell also works as a Legal Assistant for Bratschi. As such he advises corporate clients in connection with questions of data protection law, particularly with the implementation of the GDPR and the revised Swiss Data Protection Act. 

He is the author of various scholarly articles as well as co-editor of the new Orell Füssli commentary of the revised Data Protection Act.
