Reference cases
- Two clients have been wrongfully dismissed by their employer, a highly profitable online marketing company. Since both were shareholders at the same time, they faced two challenges: First, to assert its claims under labor law and, second, to sell its minority shareholdings to the majority shareholder at a fair price. The place of jurisdiction for the labor law dispute was in Canada, and that for corporate law in Switzerland. Thanks to the clever coordination of these two civil proceedings, together with a Canadian correspondent law firm, settlement negotiations were brought to a successful conclusion. The amount in dispute was CHF 5 million.
