Kathrin Lanz specialises in construction and real estate law, with a focus on public construction and planning law. She has several years of experience as an official lawyer in the legal office of the Construction, Transport and Energy Directorate of the Canton of Bern (today: BVD), where she independently instructed administrative appeal proceedings and drafted appeal decisions as well as assisted in legislative projects. Kathrin Lanz is experienced in conducting administrative and administrative appeal proceedings under public law, namely building and planning proceedings as well as building police proceedings in all areas of law (including environmental protection law, nature and heritage protection law, water protection, hydraulic engineering). She has been active for more than 20 years as an advisor and litigator (administrative proceedings, according to the Federal Administrative Procedure Act and cantonal procedural codes, in particular VRPG/BE). In addition, Kathrin Lanz regularly publishes in her field of expertise.
